Here is what's happening in Preschool...

November
3 Year Old Preschool:
Happy November! Wow, where did October go? It was so busy and we all had lots of fun. We had a great month that ended up with a spectacular spooky Halloween party. Many thanks go out to the party moms & dads who made our parties so special. Thank you for a job well done.
The month of November is going to be even busier than October, if you can believe it. The children will be learning about turkeys, leaves, Thanksgiving, Native American Indians and Pilgrim dress. We will be talking about food, how the Indians taught the Pilgrims about corn, and what food is good for our bodies. We will learn about music and rhythm with several crafts and fingerplays. Also, we will work on countiing from 1-5.
The children will be preparing the food for our Thanksgiving Feast. So please mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 26th to join your child for a St. Barnabas Preschool Thanksgiving Feast. Your child may invite one guest to eat at our celebration. Please, we ask that siblings not attend so that you may spend quality time with your child. The children will sing songs and do finger plays before the actual feast takes place.
Thank you, parent volunteers, for all your help this month with cutting and food preparations.

Dates to remember:
No School - November 7 & 28
Parent Volunteers for Food Preparation - November 21
Thanksgiving Feast Tuesday - November 26

Due to later lunch periods we will have both AM and PM classes together for our Thanksgiving Feast. Our Feast will begin at 8:30 AM. The morning class should arrive at their usual time, and the afternoon class should arrive at 8:00 AM. All guests should arrive in the cafeteria at 8:30 AM. Please do NOT arrive early.

In keeping with our food theme, the children will be taking a field trip to Teresa's Pizza on Monday, November 18th to see how pizza is made and to enjoy some. In the class, the children will become the chef as they put on their apron and create their own pizza.
Our themes, crafts, music, counting and shapes will all center around the colonial/native American Indian period. Mrs. Shirk and I are very excited to begin this month of activities with your children. Many thanks for giving us the opportunity to teach them. They are great!!
