Tuition Assistance

St. Barnabas Catholic School’s mission is to provide academic excellence and faith formation to its students.  We make a concerted effort to keep its tuition affordable and competitive while still offering an academically challenging curriculum with a wide variety of co-curricular activities.

We believe that a quality Catholic education should be available to all who seek it, and tuition assistance is available for qualified families.  Tuition assistance awards are grants, and therefore, do not require any type of re-payment. They are true reductions based solely on true financial need.

The Cleveland Catholic Dioceses is able to offer Diocesan Tuition Aid to qualifying families.  In addition, for many years, St. Barnabas Parish and Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish have awarded over $50,000 annually in Parish Tuition Grants to STB and OLG Supporting Parishioner families who qualify.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment, an independent third party company, will be conducting the financial need analysis for the 2018/2019 school year. FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment does not set any income guidelines or have restrictions on who may apply for financial aid. If you feel your family should receive financial aid, it is to your benefit to apply.  Only one application is required to be considered for both Diocesan Tuition Aid and Parish Tuition Grants.
Additional Options
There are many organizations that may offer tuition assistance including but not limited to:  Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union, Catholic Community Foundation, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Foundation of Ohio, private scholarships, etc.  Again, if you feel your family should receive financial assistance, it is to your benefit to seek out opportunities and apply.

Starting in 2018, you can use up to $10,000 annually in 529 plan proceeds for private school education.

Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)

A family may reduce its tuition costs by using TRIP (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program).  Purchase gift cards to over 250 merchants through the school to do everyday shopping.  Each gift card contains a percentage rebate which has a portion credited to your family's TRIP account at St. Barnabas. With each gift card purchased, you build up TRIP credits to be applied toward tuition.  Find more information about TRIP.
