How do my kids know what to do?
Use your school Chromebook to login to your child's
Google Classroom to look for instruction and direction from your child's teacher.
How often should kids check Google Classroom?
Daily during the week. Teachers are planning daily instruction Monday through Friday to help preserve a sense of normalcy and to ensure that our students continue to receive the highest quality education possible even given the circumstances.
What if my kids are busy during class time?
All sessions (even live sessions) will be recorded and can be watched later. Log into Google Classroom to access at your convenience.
How should students complete worksheets?
Student chomebooks have an extension called Kami which makes it possible to fill out forms and annotate documents. Students can "Open with Kami" to complete their work. For some younger students, it's also possible to print them so they can write on them and turn them in at a later drop off date at the school. Your teacher can provide more direction. If you attempt to access Google Classroom on another computer, you may have to manually setup Kami. This is why it is recommended to use the school issued Chromebook.
How will grading work?
This is still evolving. Please give us time to work out these details and we will communicate more info to parents via email and wil update the FAQ.
I get a warning from Kami when using Google Classroom. Is this okay?
Yes, Kami is a tool we use to allow students and teachers to fill in or annotate documents. This is okay and you can give Kami permission if prompted.
