Air Filtration Units Purchased for Classrooms

As we move into the cold weather months, the St. Barnabas leadership, the PTU and others continue to evaluate available data to identify additional ways to keep our kids safe and in school throughout the school year. The next layer in our protective mechanisms is to add air purifiers to each classroom.

St. Barnabas School Offers Reduced Tuition for the 2020-2021 School Year

May 28, 2020 St. Barnabas recognizes that many families have been impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic and is reducing tuition for all new incoming students for the 2020-2021 school year. St. Barnabas is paying 50% of the tuition for all current and new Kindergarten students for the upcoming school year. St. Barnabas will freeze tuition for all students to reflect 2019-2020 rates, waive enrollment fees for all students and reduce tuition for returning Preschool 3s, 4s and Pre-K students.

St. Barnabas School Finds Success with Distance Learning

May 2, 2020 May 1st marked the 7th week of online instruction for students at St. Barnabas School due to the COVID-19 health crisis. It has been a successful transition for most students and teachers thanks to the fast-acting response from Principal Erin Faetanini, who made the decision to shut down a day earlier than the Governor's orders to allow for the teachers to plan and prepare online learning materials for students.

The Patriot's Pen

The ‘Patriot’s Pen’ essay contest is sponsored each year by the VFW. Eighth graders are asked to write an essay of between 300 and 400 words on the selected topic. This year’s theme was ‘Why I Honor the American Flag’. Our participation is sponsored by VFW Post 6768. This year’s winners were announced on Friday, December 14^th. The students had the opportunity to read their prize winning essays.

3^rd place – Abby Zoeckler

2^nd place – Megan Taraba

1^st place – Gabriella Ridgway

Their essays were then sent on for judging at the district level where megan placed 3^rd and Abby placed 4^th.
