Leadership and Service

Leadership and Service

There are many after school activities at St. Barnabas that provide children with opportunities to develop their leadership skills, enhance their spiritual work, and share their gifts and talents through service to others.  These opportunities enrich our student’s lives and better our community.

Alter Servers

Altar servers play a key role in the church before, during and after each mass. In this role, students will learn the process and structure of mass, and how to support the priest.

Boy Scouts

Boy Scouts is open to all boys attending St. Barnabas Parish from grades 1-8. The program builds a set of internal values that helps grow a boy into a man. The program teaches honesty and respect towards others, and how to utilize their learned skill set in everyday life.

Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts is open to all girls attending St. Barnabas Parish from grades K- 8. Girl Scouts develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

Student Council

The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. They also assist in planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare.
