Kindergarten Experience

Welcome to the St. Barnabas Kindergarten Program. At St. Barnabas, we are not just a school, we are a family that fosters lifelong relationships in the spirit of inclusion and diversity, which we believe goes hand-in-hand with traditional learning. We take very seriously the responsibility and trust you place in us to foster academic and spiritual development

To nurture their potential, we provide a warm and loving environment to introduce kindergartners to all outstanding special programs, such as art, music, computer, physical education, STEM and more. We understand that children are multifaceted, and we strive to develop our students scholastically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Kindergarten students are eligible to participate in our athletic program. Students in grades K-1 may participate in flag football, soccer, cross country and cheerleading. For more information, or to register, visit our Athletics Page.

Our kindergartners are paired up each year with 8th grade buddies. Our buddy program fosters connections and friendships between our older students and younger students. These relationships help the kindergartners feel safe, valued and connected to the school community. Buddy activities are ongoing throughout the year and include reading together, working on special art projects, community service activities, attending weekly mass together and more.
