The ultimate goal of St. Barnabas School is to prepare each student for success throughout his/her educational career.  We use Ohio's state-approved curriculum from the Diocese of Cleveland, and all faculty are properly certified by the State of Ohio. In addition, teachers of Religion are trained and certified by the Diocese. The instructional time allocation and the curriculum for each subject area meet the standards of the Ohio Department of Education. The following subject areas are included in our in core curriculum:

Reading (Literature-based)
Phonics (Kindergarten - 3rd grade)
Spelling/ Vocabulary
Social Studies

Co-Curriculum Classes
In addition to the core subjects of language arts, math, social studies, science and religion, our students participate weekly in physical education, art, music, library and computer classes.  Visit our Co-Curriculum page for more details.

Homework is an integral component of each student's education. It provides an opportunity for students to explore and master skills more thoroughly than class time will allow. All children can expect from 20 minutes (primary) to 60 minutes (intermediate, junior high) of homework each night.

Religious Education Program

We provide a program whereby the Catholic faith is not only taught but also experienced in our daily lives.
